Music Monday: Chase Cohl

Last weekend, my friend Jessica turned me onto an incredibly talented artist friend of hers by the name of Chase Cohl. When I walked into her cozy little home nestled in the Hollywood Hills, I was completely unprepared for the magic that greeted me. Her entire house smelled deliciously of old vintage books and incense and her living room was decorated in comfortable, earthy toned furniture accented with beautiful crystals and candles. I don't really know much about this girl, but there, in her living room, surrounded by good friends, she played us the most angelic song I have heard in a very long time. I am so blessed to have been privy to this performance and I am positively elated about sharing this artist with you. I can't wait to see how far this girl is going to go!

Travel Tuesday: Coachella

I think I just saw a girl with a long board skateboard, cut off shorts and a fake daisy chain in her hair. Is it Coachella again already? This weekend I'm trading in my hair tie for a headband and heading out to the Coachella Valley Music Festival! Therefor I wanted to show you a couple of cool and affordable festival accessories that I have been making over the past couple of weeks.

Music Monday: "Take Your Love With Me"

So I got a ukulele for my birthday this year. I have never played a string instrument before but I figured I'd give it a shot. Thanks to the brilliant instructors on Youtube.com, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it! This song is written by an adorable English girl named Sophie Madeleine. Check out some of her tutorials and songs below if you're interested:

On the Lucy

People ask me all the time why I don't own a tv or why it is that I'm the only person on the planet who hasn't seen ET or Titanic. I prefer to live my life as if it were an exciting, television drama/comedy/romance of it's very own. I don't want to see life through the lives of a movie director. I want to see life through my own eyes. I want to be the director. This blog is to inspire you to try new things, to step outside of your comfort zone and to live a full and invigorating life. Get up off of your couch and be wild and free and thirsty for new experiences. My name is Lucy and this is my blog.
